This high-quality wild rice has a rich, dark color with a minimum of broken grains. It creates consistently beautiful side dishes every time. Cultivated in California’s Sacramento Valley, it’s known for its nutty, earthy flavor.
Grade A+ Wild Rice
This glossy, rich wild rice is prized for its long grains and ultra-upscale appearance. Considered to be the finest grains available, Grade A+ Wild Rice offers a nutty flavor with umami overtones. Grown in the mountains of northeastern California.
Grade A/B Wild Rice
Also known as Extra-Fancy, Grade A/B Wild Rice has dark, glossy grains in varying lengths that turn a deep brown color when cooked. Cultivated in Minnesota, this wild rice offers a heady, roasted flavor.
Grade C Wild Rice
This wild rice, also known as Early Harvest, is harvested when young and
tender and offers a mildly earthy flavor. The quick cook time makes it perfect for blending. California cultivated.
Grade D/Cracked Wild Rice
These cracked grains have a nutty, yet very light roasted flavor that goes great in soups, baked goods and sausages.
Traditional Hand Harvested Wild Rice
Each grain of this rice is hand harvested in the traditional fashion—from canoes. Slightly more delicate than other grades of wild rice. Product of northern Minnesota (subject to availability).
