Welcome to the Indian Harvest Boutique Wild Black Quinoa

The Story
If quinoa—“the mother of all grains” to the ancient Incas—is the trendiest starch or side dish of 2009 according to the National Restaurant Association’s latest Chef Survey, then new Wild Black Quinoa from Indian Harvest Boutique takes quinoa’s mass appeal one flavorful and colorful step higher.

No other color but black is the “new black” in plating in 2009. The color is reappearing on restaurant plates from more than a decade ago, when black pasta tinged with squid ink was all the rage. Unlike black pasta, however, Wild Black Quinoa is naturally colored, and retains its hue when cooked.

This hottest quinoa variety is smaller than traditional quinoa, allowing chefs to approach it like couscous. Wild Black Quinoa is also earthier and slightly sweeter in flavor, with a pleasing al dente mouthfeel. For special diets or even merely providing greater nutrition on the plate, Wild Black Quinoa’s higher protein and fiber contents, giving chefs and nutritionists the satisfaction of delivering healthful goodness.

With everything going for it already, Wild Black Quinoa from Indian Harvest Boutique benefits by even more good news: It cooks up perfectly in only 20 minutes, allowing kitchen brigades to wow diners within standard execution and plate-up times.

As with every Indian Harvest Boutique item, the uniqueness and rarity of Wild Black Quinoa limit its availability. Request your sample today, and capitalize on this all-natural grain that, with only minor flavor embellishment, pleases both the palate and eye.
