Preparation and Cooking Instructions: Stove Top: For existing recipes follow instructions. Prepare as follows for general application. Rinse and sort through beans, removing any unwanted material. Pour boiling water over to cover by 2 inches. Let soak one hour.
Drain water from soaking beans. Add fresh water to cover by 2 inches and bring to a boil. Cover. Reduce heat to simmer and begin checking for doneness at 15-20 minutes. When tender drain water and cover with cold water to cool. Add to any recipe as directed or rice blends, broth soups, fresh vegetables, salads or pasta.
